Description
This image shows a large group of individuals of varying ages posing in front of a two-story house. In the forefront stand a line of children with men and women standing behind them holding a long net, likely a fishing seine. Two of the children appear to be holding guns. Men in the right of the image hold fishing poles. Individuals identified in this image are: Polycarp Pamphylis "Poly" Moretz (holding the fishing seine on the left), Sally Coffey, and Reverend Michael Luther Carpenter (located on the back row with the white beard). The woman at the far right of the front row in a white dress has been identified as Rosa "Rose" Houck and the child is Lucy Houck (Norris). The identical postcards seen in items 052 and 053 identify this as a fishing trip near Boone, NC. A similar photograph can be found in item 054 of this series.
