Fields with what appear to be piles of hay can be seen to the right alongside another road. A large mountain can be seen in the distance, identified as Grandfather Mountain. This image has been identified as an area in Shulls Mill, NC, overlooking the "Ottaray" house, home of William Scott Whiting. The image looks northwest towards Grandfather Mountain.
