Description

This item is a postcard with an illustration of a stone church on the front. The church appears to be an L-shape with a peaked roof. A large circle, stained glass window sits above wooden doors to the right. Smaller stained glass windows line the side. Pink flowering bushes can be seen along the side of the church. Text at the top of the image reads, "Adventist Church. Boone, N. C., (Altitude 3,333 Feet.)." The back of the card is used and indicates it was published by Asheville Postcard Company out of Asheville, NC. It features a stamp and is postmarked from Boone, NC, on August 18, 1944, at 11 AM. The card is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. H. M. West in Norfolk, VA. The card itself reads: "Just a card to let you know that we are up in the hills Mary & Dallas."
