Men Standing Next To Destroyed Mill, August 1940

Title

Men Standing Next To Destroyed Mill, August 1940

Subject

Stony Fork, 1940 Flood, Paul Weston, Mill, George Greene

Description

The mill in this image appears to be the same as the one in Par-Wes-03-015 and Par-Wes-03-051. Standing adjacent to the mill are the same men seen with the cow in Par-Wes-03-066, one of them possibly George Greene. In this image, the mill and its flume have clearly been shifted off of their foundation and moved along with the debris field from a landslide in the August 13, 1940, flood, probably in the Stony Fork vicinity. This image is paired with Par-Wes-03-069 in its mounting from the scrapbook.
