Pipe Stem in Landslide Debris Field #2, August 1940

Title

Pipe Stem in Landslide Debris Field #2, August 1940

Subject

1940 Flood, Paul Weston, Landslide

Description

Similar to Par-Wes-03-005, This image shows what appears to be a pipe stem from a natural spring, probably associated with a house that stood at this location prior to the devastating landslides and flood of August 13, 1940. Boulders and some construction debris can be seen in the image as well. The edge of an outbuilding can be seen at extreme upper right, with a fence and a cornfield visible along the top of the image. Unfortunately, this image has slid within its mounting, leaving a small portion obscured at bottom and left. This image is paired with Par-Wes-03-072 in its mounting from the scrapbook.
