Log Bridge Destroyed by Flood, August 1940

Title

Log Bridge Destroyed by Flood, August 1940

Subject

1940 Flood, Bridge, Debris, Paul Weston

Description

This image shows a log bridge--apparently the same one seen in Par-Wes-03-052--that has been destroyed by the August 13, 1940, flood. Other structural debris is evident, including metal rods in the right foreground. The debris line on the opposite shore offers a hint of how high the water was during the height of the flood. Unfortunately, this image has slid within its mounting, leaving a small portion obscured at bottom.
