A photograph of Appalachian State Teachers College (which would become Appalachian State University the next year) after snowfall in January 1966. The building to the left in the photograph is the Old Education Building (torn down in the late 1960s), while the Whitener Hall (torn down in 2006) is on the right. Both buildings stood in the current location of Belk Library. A car is parked in front of the Whitener building. An inscription on the back of the photograph reads: "January 1966- Boone, N.C. Old Education Building, A.S.U."
