A color slide showing a police car leading four men on horseback down King Street during the Wagon Train parade in Boone, North Carolina. The Wagon Train, which traveled over multiple days from Wilkes County to Boone, began as a celebration of the 300th anniversary of the founding of North Carolina in 1963. The event would be held every summer until 1974. The Appalachian Theater is visible in the background, as is the Northwestern Bank (later the Boone Town Hall).
