This letter from Wilson Woodhouse to Rufus Edmisten was written on November 11, 1959. It is an invitation for Edmisten to attend a national meeting for young voters. It references the Young Voters Program mentioned by Terry Sanford in previous items in this series. The meeting was to be held in Fayetteville, NC. The letter also mentions that Terry Sanford plans to run for Governor in 1960. (He ended up serving as Governor of North Carolina from 1961-1965.) Handwritten at the bottom of the letter reads, "Get a group together and drive down." This item was on top of an envelope on page 17 in the scrapbook labeled in gold marker on the front cover with the dates 1958-1959. Handwritten inscription inside cover reads, "Rufus Edmisten 1958-Senior Year, High School, 1959-Freshman Year, University."
