This image shows the 1956 Appalachian High School Homecoming Parade traveling through King Street. In the street, a car with an attached float carries the homecoming queen and king. The float has a model of a horse-drawn carriage on top of it. Further back, the Appalachian High School band can be seen alongside a group of majorettes. Additionally, a few fire trucks are visible and covered in decorations. On the right side of the image, there is an advertisement posted for the Miller Bros Circus.
