Description

This picture is a color slide of the 1963 Daniel Boone Wagon Train traveling through King Street. There are two onlookers in front of the Mayflower Beauty Shoppe, one of which is holding onto a metal bar for support. Another onlooker is at the top of a staircase next to the shop. There are a few others sitting down on the sidewalk further to the right. There are four cars visible in the wagon train and all seem to be well maintained older cars. In the front passenger seat of the leading car, a woman is wearing gloves, a shawl, and a dress. The wheel is on the right side of the vehicle. At the front of the car, there is a partially obstructed sign that says "1909." This is most likely referring to the age of the car. There is also an advertisement for an auction on July 6th posted on a telephone pole.
