This image depicts a brochure which was an advertisement for the Horn in the West play and includes three images with brief descriptions. At the top of the brochure, "Drama-Outdoor. 'Horn in the West” is written in pencil inside one of the images. Near the center, "Horn in the west (historical drama). N'' is written in pen and "June, 1953" is written in pencil. At the center of the page, "Linkart of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina" is stamped haphazardly alongside other words that are ineligible because they are directly on top of some text from the brochure. One image is a landscape shot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and what seems to be the Blue Ridge Parkway. Another image shows an empty Daniel Boone Theater. The final image is of a scene in the play where a character seems to be speaking to a crowd of other actions around him. Item 015-b shows one small drawing of Daniel Boone holding a rifle and blowing a horn at the top of a mountain. The text of the brochure begins with a brief description of Watauga County and the tourist attractions around the area. There is a specific section about the Blue Ridge Parkway with directions to the parkway and from the parkway to the Daniel Boone Theater. There is also a description of the Daniel Boone Theater which mentions its creation and includes specific parts of its design.
