This image shows a group of actors on stage at Horn in the West. At least two couples are dancing on the stage. There is a crowd along the edges of the stage clapping along. Ned Austin portraying Daniel Boone can be seen on the far right of the image. There is a steeple lit up on the other side of the wooden fence behind the stage. On the back of this photograph there is handwriting and a diagram of the stage itself, hand drawn. There is a caption that reads "The Square Dance Scene." There is additional handwriting that provides the location of the image, at Horn in the West in Boone, NC. There is a stamp on the back of the image that indicates that this was a sample postcard for the photographer Jack W. Bowers.
