The caption reads "John Ward, born November 19, 1863, married June 26, 1887, Mary Ellen Farthing, born August 1870. She died April 4, 1928. He died July 14, 1947. Their children: William Luther Ward, born May 3, 1888, died October 14, 1975. Sarah Emma Ward, born November 14, 1889, died May 16, 1968. Donald O. Ward, born October 1, 1891, lives in Knoxville, Tenn. Dollie L. Ward, born January 12, 1895, lives in Virginia Beach, Va. Yvonne F. Ward, born September 29, 1898, died March 1, 1969.
