Poplar Neighborhood After 1960 Blizzard

Subject

Snow, Telephone Poles, Poplar Hill Drive, Houses, Hillsides, Houses, 1960 Blizzard

Description

This picture is a color slide of Poplar Hill Drive during the blizzard of 1960. On the slide "60 snow" is written in pencil. The image is pink due to Still Image degradation and there are also small hairs and dust particles visible. There is another house slightly visible to the right. Between the house and the photographer, there is a telephone pole and a tree. The neighborhood is halfway up a mountain, which gives everything a slope. In front of the house, there are two vehicles that are half buried in snow. On the other side of the house, there is a fence structure that seems to be a small plot for a garden. There is also snow on top of the chimney, which indicates that there was no fire in the fireplace at the time.
