Description

This picture is a color slide of the 1963 Daniel Boone Wagon Train as it travels through King Street. There is a crowd of people near the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. In the road, there are five covered wagons being towed by both bulls and horses. At the front of the train, there are three people walking in costumes that reflect the covered wagon period. One of the three is carrying a rifle and another is carrying a recorder. There is also a crowd of people walking next to the wagons further down the street. Some of the walkers are in costume and others are not. There is an advertisement for an auction on July 6th posted on a telephone pole. On the other side of the street, there is a sign that says "College St."
