This image depicts a News And Observer newspaper clipping. The clipping is of an article entitled "N. C. State Men Designed Theater" which was written by Rudolph Pate. "Drama-Outdoor." Horn in the West" N" is written in pencil and "Horn in the west (Historical drama).N" is written in red pen on the clipping. The article itself is a verbatim copy of another article written by Pate in the Charlotte Observer. The article also has two accompanying images. Pate's article describes the process by which the Daniel Boone Theater was built. The two images accompanying the article are both of the Daniel Boone Theater as a before-and-after comparison. The back of the clipping includes several small sections that comment on contemporary political and economic developments in 1953.
