This image shows a group gathered around a steam sawmill, probably owned by Wiseman Cable, across creek from James Shell house on Bethel Road. Wood boards lay around the machinery. A small building can be seen on the hill beyond the people. The people in the image have been identified as (from left to right): the little girl is Crathie Shell (1895-1977), the man with mustache is James Shell (1864-1937), the little boy is Sip Shell (1897-1960), the man behind belt wheel is John Ward, the man at flywheel is Wiseman Cable, and the man by boiler is Dudley Farthing Greene (1879-1957).
